What is AOD9604?
AOD9604 was first developed at Monash University in Australia and later taken forward by Metabolic Pharmaceuticals. The peptide corresponds to amino acids 176–191 of the human growth hormone molecule, with a tyrosine residue added at one end. As a small fragment, it does not have the full structure of growth hormone.
The fragment was tested in human clinical trials as a potential anti-obesity drug, but development for that use was discontinued, and it is not approved by the FDA as a medicine. It is sold here for research only.
