Description
KPV peptide is one of the smallest peptides in the Gentleman Peptides range: a tripeptide made of just three amino acids – lysine, proline and valine. It is supplied as a single 10 mg vial of freeze-dried powder.

Where does the KPV peptide come from?
The sequence corresponds to the last three amino acids of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), a 13-amino-acid hormone produced from the precursor protein pro-opiomelanocortin. The short fragment has been studied in its own right in cell and animal models, partly because it is far smaller and simpler to synthesise than the parent hormone.
It is not approved by the FDA for any use and is sold here purely for laboratory research.

Single vial or the KLOW blend?
As well as this single-peptide vial, the tripeptide is one of four components of the KLOW blend, where it is combined with GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500 at a labelled 10 mg. Choosing the single vial gives full control over amounts and combinations; choosing KLOW provides a fixed four-peptide mixture in one vial.
Because it is so short, 10 mg of this tripeptide contains many more molecules than 10 mg of a larger peptide. That is worth keeping in mind when comparing amounts between products by weight alone.
Storage and handling
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are normally kept sealed, cold and protected from light and moisture until they are used. Allow a refrigerated vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and once a vial has been opened or reconstituted for laboratory work, store and handle it according to your laboratory’s own procedures.
Checking the label
The label on this product states the compound name, the amount (10 mg) and that it is for research use only. When your order arrives, check that the label matches what you ordered, and record the product name, amount and date received in your notes before use. If anything does not match, contact us before opening the product.

KPV peptide FAQs
How much KPV peptide is in the vial?
The vial is labelled as containing 10 mg.
What does KPV stand for?
The letters are the single-letter codes for its three amino acids: K for lysine, P for proline and V for valine.
Is the KPV peptide for human use?
No. It is sold for laboratory research only and is not intended for human or veterinary use.
Is KPV the same as alpha-MSH?
No. Alpha-MSH is a 13-amino-acid hormone, while this product is only its final three amino acids. The fragment is studied separately and should not be treated as equivalent to the full hormone.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. This product is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. See our research use policy.
