Description
GHK-Cu is a copper peptide: the naturally occurring tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine (GHK) bound to a copper(II) ion. Gentleman Peptides supplies it as a sealed vial labelled 100 mg, the largest single-compound amount per vial in our peptide range.

What is GHK-Cu?
GHK was first isolated from human plasma by Loren Pickart in 1973. The tripeptide has a strong affinity for copper(II) ions and readily forms a complex with them, which is the form supplied here. In cosmetic chemistry the same complex is known by the INCI name copper tripeptide-1, and it appears as an ingredient in some skin-care formulations.
As a research material, this product is supplied for laboratory and analytical work only and is not intended for human or veterinary use.

Single vial or blend?
The copper peptide is also the main component by weight in two blends: GLOW (with BPC-157 and TB-500 at 50/10/10 mg) and KLOW (the same three plus KPV, at 50/10/10/10 mg). This single vial is the choice when the copper complex is studied on its own, or when you want to set your own ratios.
Like other metal complexes, it is best kept sealed and protected from light until it is needed, and handled with clean laboratory equipment so that the copper complex is not disturbed by contaminants.
Storage and handling
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are normally kept sealed, cold and protected from light and moisture until they are used. Allow a refrigerated vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and once a vial has been opened or reconstituted for laboratory work, store and handle it according to your laboratory’s own procedures.
Checking the label
The label on this product states the compound name, the amount (100 mg) and that it is for research use only. When your order arrives, check that the label matches what you ordered, and record the product name, amount and date received in your notes before use. If anything does not match, contact us before opening the product.

GHK-Cu FAQs
How much GHK-Cu is in the vial?
This listing is for the vial labelled 100 mg.
Is GHK-Cu the same as copper tripeptide-1?
Yes. Copper tripeptide-1 is the cosmetic ingredient (INCI) name for the GHK–copper complex.
Is this copper peptide for human use?
No. It is sold for laboratory research only and is not intended for human or veterinary use.
Why does copper matter in GHK-Cu?
GHK binds copper(II) ions tightly, and much of the research interest in the tripeptide concerns this copper complex rather than the free peptide. The product supplied here is the copper-bound form, as the name indicates.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. This product is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. See our research use policy.
