What does “with DAC” mean?
CJC-1295 was developed by the Canadian company ConjuChem. It is based on the first 29 amino acids of GHRH, with four amino-acid substitutions intended to make the peptide more resistant to enzymatic breakdown. The DAC version adds a reactive chemical group that lets the peptide bind covalently to albumin in the blood, which greatly extends its half-life compared with unmodified GHRH.
The version without DAC, often called modified GRF (1–29), lacks that albumin-binding group and has a much shorter half-life. Neither form is approved by the FDA, and this product is sold for research only.

With DAC or without DAC?
The two forms are often confused because they share a name. If a study needs the long-acting, albumin-binding form, this CJC-1295 with DAC vial is the right product. If it calls for the short-acting form, Gentleman Peptides supplies CJC-1295 without DAC as part of the CJC / Ipamorelin vial, combined with Ipamorelin at 5 mg each.
Always check the label before use. This vial is labelled “CJC /W DAC 5 MG”, while the combination vial is labelled “CJC NO DAC / IPA 5/5MG”. Recording the exact form in your laboratory notes avoids mix-ups between the two variants.
Storage and handling
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are normally kept sealed, cold and protected from light and moisture until they are used. Allow a refrigerated vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and once a vial has been opened or reconstituted for laboratory work, store and handle it according to your laboratory’s own procedures.
Checking the label
The label on this product states the compound name, the amount (5 mg) and that it is for research use only. When your order arrives, check that the label matches what you ordered, and record the product name, amount and date received in your notes before use. If anything does not match, contact us before opening the product.
