Description
Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide supplied by Gentleman Peptides as a single 5 mg vial of freeze-dried powder. It belongs to the growth hormone secretagogue class and is one of the shortest peptides in that group, which makes it a common reference compound in secretagogue research.

What is Ipamorelin?
This compound is a synthetic peptide of five amino acids that acts as an agonist at the ghrelin receptor, also called the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHS-R1a). It was developed in the 1990s by Novo Nordisk as part of a family of growth hormone-releasing peptides, and it is often described in the literature as one of the more selective members of that group.
The peptide has been investigated in clinical trials but has never been approved as a medicine by the FDA. Gentleman Peptides sells it as a research material only.

Ipamorelin on its own or in a stack
The compound is available from Gentleman Peptides in two ways. This listing is the single-peptide vial, which gives full control over how it is combined with anything else in a study. The CJC / Ipamorelin blend pairs it with CJC-1295 (without DAC) in one vial, at 5 mg of each peptide.
Researchers comparing secretagogues of different chemical types sometimes look at this peptide alongside MK-677 (ibutamoren). Both act on the same receptor, but one is a peptide while MK-677 is a small non-peptide molecule, so they come in different formats: a lyophilised vial for the peptide, and capsules or a liquid for MK-677.
Storage and handling
Lyophilised (freeze-dried) peptides are normally kept sealed, cold and protected from light and moisture until they are used. Allow a refrigerated vial to reach room temperature before opening to limit condensation, and once a vial has been opened or reconstituted for laboratory work, store and handle it according to your laboratory’s own procedures.
Checking the label
The label on this product states the compound name, the amount (5 mg) and that it is for research use only. When your order arrives, check that the label matches what you ordered, and record the product name, amount and date received in your notes before use. If anything does not match, contact us before opening the product.

Ipamorelin FAQs
How much peptide is in the vial?
The vial is labelled as containing 5 mg of the lyophilised peptide.
What is the difference between Ipamorelin and CJC-1295?
They belong to different classes. The former acts on the ghrelin receptor, whereas CJC-1295 is an analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) and acts on the GHRH receptor.
Is Ipamorelin approved for human use?
No. It is not FDA-approved and is sold for laboratory research only, not for human or veterinary use.
For laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. This product is not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. See our research use policy.
